Literature Text

As you lie dying,
I have no regrets.
I love you.
I loved you from the start.
Because you were different.
You heard the words of others.
Words that described me as harsh.
Violent.
Cruel.
But as you lie dying,
You still believe that they were wrong.
And that you were right.
Your eyes now stare,
Unseeing.
I have killed you.
But I have no regrets.
I do love you.
You were not wrong in thinking that.
And I know that you loved me too.
You said you would do anything.
Anything for us to be together.
Anything.
And I promised as well.
Promised that we would be together.
Is Heaven, I wonder,
Good enough for you?
Am I good enough for Heaven?
If I am not, this will never work.
Not now, not ever.
If I go through with this,
If I kill myself,
Will it work?
Will we meet in Heaven?
If I go to Hell,
I will not be able to keep my promise.
I stare at the knife in my hand,
Covered in my lover's blood.
No regrets.
I plunge the knife through my heart.
Ok then...the first on a long list of new poems I have to put up. I really like this one. It's my favourite one, although I don't really know why.
